At our shop, when a card has a First Edition / 1st Edition (hereafter "1ED"), we only distinguish and sell editions when the product name specifies "First Edition", "1ED", or "Reprint".
If no edition is specified, we do not distinguish between variants and will sell the item as the same product regardless of the images shown.
