At our shop, for cards that exist in First Edition and 1st edition (hereafter referred to as "1ED"), we differentiate and sell only products whose names include "First Edition", "1ED", or "Reprint".
For items without any special listing, we do not differentiate based on the product image; they are sold as the same product regardless of the image.
